Hello all!

First post here, been looking around for a little while. Getting an '87 vn750 looks like a good place to start.

Welcome. It IS a good place to start. Very knowledgeable folks here, so if you have any questions, just ask. One thing to look for on your '87 is the possibility that the rubber engine balance dampers are deteriorating. When you change the oil, drain it out of the side plug and reach in and remove the metal washer, spring, and screen. If you find metal flakes and good sized chunks of rubber on the screen, it's a sign the balancers are going and you'll need to pull the engine. Look in my sig for what can happen.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Garage
the vn750 has many little quirks, but being that it is an 87... most little issues should already have been adressed...if not... we here can help you fix it
