Welcome, justjim910. Holler if you have any questions. Fortunately for you, they made the best VN750s in '89! If it's black, you got the best of the best!

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

I hate to burst everyones "bubble" but the 85' VN700/750 was and still is the BEST V-TWIN ever made!!!! Vn700 in the US and Vn750 everywhere else. Every model year after was simply a reflection of perfection as to what Kawasaki had created by showing H-D what a real performance v-twin bike was in that era!! The Vn700 had as much H.P. as their BIG v-twin but our parts didn't fall of from massive vibration.

To this day our bikes can still keep up with the stock H-D 1450cc cruiser. I guess that's why after 21 years Kawasaki retired the Vn750 " The Original Vulcan". When it was first made they went "Balls Out" and left no room for improvement. The 05' and 06' were almost the exact same bike as the 85', since the 85' was the "Original Vulcan" it has "self canceling turn signals" and "air adjustable" front forks.

I should feel SAD for those of you with 89' and above Vn750's, but I don't. I just grin from ear to ear knowing we have features YOU DON'T. LOL

justjim910, Welcome to our family.

Since Kawasaki retired the Vn750 with integrity intact, I guess the sibblings are left to carry on the "VULCAN" tradition, kick'n ass!!!!!

Mission accomplished: Yanking chains and goosing ribs! On a good note, regardless of the year of your bike; the VN700/750 is just hard to beat, hands down.
