New member from AZ

Hello. New member here. Recently picked up a 92 VN750. Was ear shaved when I got it and I marbled it thanks to what I learned searching here, bobbed it out, painted satin black with red accents and wheels, made some rigid struts, put a flat steel fender on it. I will try and upload some pics later, they are on the camera and I don't have the camera right now, go figure. Been riding since 1995. Been in two really fun accidents, one that put me on crutches for a year, but it hasn't stopped me. I'm new to Kawasakis. I've owned a honda and 2 Harleys in the past. I was building a West Coast Chopper, but all that is on a long time hold and I wanted something fun to ride in the meantime. I am only having one real issue and that is it cuts out at 3/4 throttle to wide open throttle. I'm not sure what size main jets the previous owner put in, I haven't had time to tear into that. He said he rejetted after ear shave and opening up the pipes. I'm guessing jets are too small, but that's just a guess. After closing up the reed valves, it started running and sounding a ton better! Pics soon to follow!

Welcome to the Vulcan madness tom. It sounds like you are an old hand at wrenching on your bikes. Congrats on getting the Vulcan. Your year on crutches sounds pretty good to me. It has been 16 months so far for me, and I expect to be on them for a few more months yet. Bones don`t heal up so fast when you are in your mid 50`s. But I can`t wait to get back on and ride. Good luck with finding out the reason for the dead spot. Can you ride all year a round in your part of AZ?

Welcome Misfit. Did a short stint in Pheonix in 1978 on the west side. x2 on the jets. Several posts have been written concerning the top of the power curve lag after the mods you described. Looking forward to see the pics.
