Check in on O Hoss Canada, he has the first 10 things to check on these bikes and give the bike a good once over, that is check everything. The Verses will take you to everything to check and more. Welcome to the forum. This place definitely has the answers for any questions you might have.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Unless you know when the coolant was changed last, now would be a good time to drain, flush and replace it. Procedure is in the manual and also in threads here. If just adding, use antifreeze and distilled water added to the coolant bottle. If draining, be careful if you remove the plastic bolt at the bottom of the radiator. They seem to break easily.

Welcome to the Vulcan madness newguy. The ten things have grown in number, and are repeated a few times, but there is a lot to be gained from reading on and making a few notes as you go. Stay safe and keep the rubber on the road.
