Not yet but soon to be owner of 96 VN750

Hello all, I will be picking up a sweet 96 VN750 either tomorrow or Saturday. Got it for a great price. It needs nothing, and is in great condition. Brand new battery. I took it for a ride, and what a nice relaxed riding position. I am also selling my 78 GS1000 tomorrow, after not having it for that long. I have worked on it more than I have ridden it, and although, it is running good now, I just don't care for the riding position. I am 54, and want to kick back a little. I had a Vulcan 800 classic 2 years ago, and loved that bike, so I have come back to a Vulcan. I've had a ZRX1200, a Katana 1100, a VFR750 in the past 5 years, and have had my fill of speed. Time to enjoy the ride now.

Welcome to Vulcan madness. Sounds like you know your way around a bike. Check out the TEN THINGS link at the end of my sig, and the vulcan verses. You may find something new. Enjoy the ride and keep the rubber on the road.

Welcome to the group, and good luck with the new bike. Your list of priors are all some of my favorites.

Welcome and congrats! You'll notice right off that the 750 Vulcan will spank the 800 you had unless you did some serious work to it! Glad you found the group here. Have fun and ask questions. Lots of helpers here!

Got to say - the VN750, with it's shaft drive and in-line v-twin, has the all the speed you've had your fill of PLUS the comfortable riding position you crave. Enjoy the ride, my friend. I know I do!
