New owner from el paso texas

Hey everyone,
I just inherited a 1985 vulcan 700 from my uncle. It only has 4500 miles on it as it has been sitting in his garage for the past 15 years. He stopped riding it because of electrical problems. I am currently trying to diagnose these problems and get it running again. Aside from the electrical problems it also needs a new tank. The inside of the current one is completely rusted, I could hear big chunks of rust in it when i took it off. Everything else seems to be in good condition.

If anyone has an old tank they'd be willing to sell let me know.

You will probably be hearing from me soon with questions about the electrical problems.

Welcome to the group. You have come to the right place for help with your Vulcan. Here is a link to the Vulcan Verses with a way to clean and seal the tank. If yours isn`t too far gone, this could save you some money for another one. https://www.vn750.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1153
