Welcome, John! There's a good bunch of folks over in Austin; several 750s. You might check out Texas VROC:

then click on Texas VROC Message Board, which takes you to the forum:

It's based out of Austin, but we've got members all over the state. Get yerself registered, and join the fun. We have MCHs (MeetChaHalfways) about every 4 to 6 weeks, sometimes more often, and a MIM (Meet In the Middle) every October, right there in Austin. Fire Ant from Decatur, melissaholt1 from Austin, and several other members on here and the Yahoo 750 group from Texas are also members of TXVROC.

Last MCH was the 6th, at the Dr. Pepper museum in Dublin; Fire Ant and I were the only 750s at that one. MCHs are usually a day ride to a location somewhere around the state just to meet up for lunch and visit. There have been overniter MCHs also; Abilene to visit Dyer AFB last year to tour the B1 facility, where one of the members works, and Corpus Christi last month come to mind.

There's also MIBB every April, where members from all over the state meet up somewhere on the way to Big Bend National Park, to spend a couple days riding the Park roads and others around the area.

The MIM is an annual 3-day 2-night get-together in North Austin at a member's house, with food and live music, and hotels in crawling distance.

Your avatar looks to be 1st Cav; my cousin was division engineer for 1st Cav back when I was workin' outa Killeen in the late '80s.

Again, welcome to the group!
