Hello from the snowy state of Minnesota. I just picked up my second Vulcan. Ive been reading stuff on this forum for a few years while I did everything on my last one. I brought it back from the dead when I shouldnt have just cuz I had no money. Fell in love with it (my 4th bike). Let it go to the moto graveyard and found an '86 with half as many miles and a strucurally sound frame for the same price of $500. I've learned a lot from this forum and now Im ready to contribute.

Im not even gonna give a run down of the last bike because the work was very extensive. Taught me a lot though.

Now that it's above 0 deg here I started a few different projects yesterday.

First thing I did was clean the contacts on the start button. Works like a charm. No more push start.

Ive got the splines open to lube

Radiaor off to replace the front exhaust manifold cuz the PO broke a bolt.

Tank off

Earshave started

Gonna rebuild the carb wit new seals etc.

New shocks on
(old savage shocks to lower it)

Well I'm picking up my #7 Vulcan on Tuesday, it's an 87 for $300. You got some catching up to do, lol.

It'll take me a few years to catch up hopefully. Im sinking a lot into thiiios one. It's got 39k miles. Quite a step up from my last one which had a broken speedo clocked at 86k.

Ive orded new progressive fork springs, seals, a carb rebuild kit, screamin eagle muffs (inspired by ole dirty doc), wheel bearings, brake shoes and pads, oil filters, pod air filters, tw200 petcock, suzuki savage shocks, and other goodies already. Ran me only about $300 thanks to fleabay
