Got a used 1985 Kawasaki Vulcan 700
My first bike, never drove one before I bought this guy. I need some help with 2 things on it, I am getting buzzing from the light cluster (Neutral, turn signal, etc..) while i'm driving but not at a standstill and the tachometer doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Could be a vibration noise from something rubbing? Did you try reaching up with one hand and holding onto the gauges while you were riding to see if it stops? Is it all the time when you ride or does it stop if you pull the clutch in and coast.

Found out what it was. Speedometer cable gave out shortly after, ordered a new one on amazon, no more buzzing. My only issue left is the tachometer doesn't work. Took the tach apart and found all the cables and connections were good, haven't investigated engine portion yet though. Looking on other threads, seems like a somewhat common issue that no one has figured out yet. Also wondering if anything has done a tach/speedo swat to something more modern.
