Hi Everyone my name is David feel welcome to just call me Dave. I'm from North Central Pennsylvania. Just started riding in September lol, I took the safety course to get my license. First bike is a 2002 Vulcan 750, I got it in great shape only 12,000 miles on it. Third day of ownership I put it down going around a corner (I blame it on the loose gravel but it's more user error I'm sure) and beat it all up. I decided to repair it even though it only cost me $1000 because I feel a little sentimental about it being my first bike even though it was only a couple days haha. I gotta replace the headlight, the bracket for the headlight and front turn signals. I have a led headlight on the way and the housing and I already modified the wiring so I hope it all works out. My spedo and tach and whole cluster pretty well got destroyed as well so they'll need replacing so if anyone's got extra that work I'll pay for em. I drive a Chevy Sonic the rest of the year that I've been slowly modifying to be a little more fun. I'm by no means a mechanic or anything and I'm younger I guess (21 going on 22 soon) but I would consider myself somewhat mechanically inclined. I can't wait to dive into the carb on the bike and do an ear shave. Looking forward to meeting everyone else on the forum and getting my bike ready to go.

Welcome! Do yourself a favor and check your splines. Theres a chance there is no lube on yours and if you don't grease them, they'll wear out and its not fun sourcing replacement parts.

and if it doesn't have one already, get an AGM MF battery.

Have fun, and respect the bike and the road, and you'll be riding for decades
