What up dorks!

Hope you guys can take a joke (or two) on here.
I think these forum intros are mostly a waste of time, but I respect that some of you appreciate them. And I can't sleep, so here goes...
I am a motorcycle mechanic named Sky. Yes, it's my real name, on my birth certificate and everything.
Employed at an independent Shop in SWFL. Mostly wrench on vintage American bikes. But we do work on all the brands that the other shops wont touch. They scared.
Mostly ride my, gasp, Shovelhead chopper. For those of you who don't know, that's a 70s-ish Harley Davidson. Hghly "modified" or "chopped".
Fairly active on the ChopCult forum. You may have seen my posts over there under the creative moniker "Sky".

One day some scrappers rolled by the shop 'cause they had drug "some kind of bike" out of under a storm toppled shed.
Bought said bike from said scrappers for a song. No title
Verified it had compression and spark. Then set about getting a title. Otherwise I would have been simply parted it out.
Once I had title in hand, I commenced into chopping! Stripped her down to what they call a Bobber.
Rebuilt the carbs and rigged the wiring.
A janky junker for sure.
Grabbed the shop Transporter plate and rode it over to my buddies tattoo shop. Said "remember when you said you wanted an ugly, cheap chop?" And we handshake traded time for time. I'd build his dream-cycle. He'd tattoo my backside. His vision was more of a Satanic, post apocalyptic rat bike than a dream...
Bought the manual and did the forum searches for known issues and popular modifications. Found vn750.com and found the information invaluable, thank you gentlemen...
Got the Bike roadworthy and "chopped" to taste. Dude's been jamming around town for over a year!
I can do a build thread if you guys are interested...

That be cool. I know many that would be interested. Especially how you did the tank, and the exhaust that goes behind the shock.

Thanks, dude asked for something cheap, ugly and with a coffin tank! Had to add a false backbone to mount the tank (narrow tunnel).
I'll try and get some more pics up for you guys soon...
The pipes are the stock headers and the stock mufflers. Mufflers punched and obviously relocated. Used a box of exhaust pipe cutoffs to connect the dots.
Again, I'll get some pics up ASAP

^ Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing the pic of the bike you built. Like the rest, would love to see more pics.

Just curious, any chance your username is as clever as your real one and you're a real pilot too?

Thanks, I did make a build thread... "rat vn750"
Times change and I haven't flown a plane in years. Did ground school and flight training as a teenager. Then sex drugs and rock and roll took over.
Space camp was a blast too!

Man what I hate is when your dog eats a rope toy and craps out a partial thread. You gotta go pull that thing out cause you know it's driving the little guy crazy. Would me.
