New to the forum

Hello everyone,
I have recently bought a 97 VN 750 it's a great looking bike but I have noticed a few issues with it, I'm leaning towards the cards need cleaned and jetted, the bike idles up as soon as you put it on the kickstand with the tire straight, It keeps fouling out the left rear plug only.

I replaced all the plugs the p/o put in it, it was odd he have 1 Hotter plug in the front left than the rest, he had also changed the oil over to rotilla, I'm not sure on that one, I have seen mixed reviews and I won't start an oil thread lol...

Rottella is highly recommend here, and on other forums.

It would make more sense to use a hotter plug in the rear, but just guessing the OP had to use it just because the right one wasn't available?

We also recommend the iridium plugs.

Oh yeah, Welcome to the Forum !

Thanks everyone for the feed back, now I experienced a different problem today when riding to work I stopped at a light then the idle shot up to about 4500 and would not go down , I check the cables and the handle nothing stuck , Reeved it a little higher and it stopped, went about 200 yrds to the next light it did it again, I know I'm having some cars issues, but it seemed like they all went away when I started it, it ran like a dream and it was like the engine just came to life with a new found power then bam when I hit the light it started going bonkers, the light it happens at is about 3 miles from my house

Hey Joey, first of all welcome to the community. I would advise you to better consult some expert who can help you in solving your problem. Even I am looking forward to buy 97 VN750 after riding the same new purchase of my close friend. I must say I am really impressed with its flexiblity and really want to buy this model soon. My friend has bought this last week from another state which he got it transported to the destination here in Florida with the help of car transport Stamford team. As soon as I reach my budget, I will surely get this model for me. Hope that I do not have to any kind of issue.
