Hello from Sonoma county

Hello all, my name is Nathan and I just purchased a 94 750 with 6,400 miles on it. It is garage kept, and has been generally maintained. This is my third bike and I am looking forward to putting lots of miles on this bike. I purchased a new rear tire and should have that on soon as well as taking care of general maintenance like oil changes and stuff.

My first bike was a Suzuki gs500e which was good but not for long trips. Had to sell it to pay for school. Last year I bought a Honda magna 700 and didn't know anything about them and didn't know I was buying a bike with a blown head gasket and a basket case carb. Thought I could fix it all and poured way too much money into it and didn't really fix anything. This time around I'm being smarter about it all and think I got a good base to start with. Not doing anything crazy with it just want to maintain it and ride the **** out of it.

I like where this is going. Get yourself a maintenance free battery as well if you don't already have one in there. Make sure to get coolant safe for aluminum engines.

I always put bike master lithium batteries in my bikes. The one in it now is only a year old so I'll replace it when it starts going bad.

And I think the stuff I have is, never knew that was a thing though.

Took the rear wheel off and it's got the original tire from 94 still...

We have aluminum engines so you need to put coolant in that's safe for them. Search and you will see plenty of threads about this.
While your putting new tires on do the spline lube and be done with that for the next 10k miles.

The coolant that I had that I never used on my last bike says it's safe for aluminum

New tire is on and the splines are lubed. Thankfully they were lubed at the factory but now there's some fresh on it. Also did an accidental burnout leaving my driveway. Tires slick! Whoops!
