Late night hour check-in

First off, I didn't know there was a newbie section before making a post, whoops.

Location: Dallas, Texas; more specifically Garland
Riding experience: Brand new to the large displacement motorcycles, but owned a 150cc scooter for a few years before deciding to pick up the Vulcan as a project motorcycle.
Any experience doing your own repairs: Quite a fair bit, my little chinese scooter was down more often than it was working, i'm not shy to taking apart an engine haha.
Hobbies: The only major "Hobby" I have is basically this, other than that I actually so alot of Professional Minecraft terrain designing and whatnot on the side, including making my own RPG Fantasy game within the base game.
What brought you here: Just a need for knowledge really. I know nothing about this bike aside from it has an engine and two wheels. I have a PDF of the service manual that I check but there's only so much you can go with it.

I also uploaded a few photos of a sorta-WIP selection of photos, including a what it looked like when I first got it.
If anyone has any questions i'm more than willing to answer them.

Welcome. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation offers an introductory rider course in virtually all states. It's an excellent way to learn the basics of motorcycle riding, which, due to different vehicle geometry, isn't quite the same as a scooter. Riders that take the course have fewer and less serious accidents than those who don't.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Welcome aboard.
Was there a specific problem with the bike that required a rebuild? Or do you just getting to know every bolt before you can call it your own? *laugh*
Good luck with the project!

haha, it had so many problems with it that a list wouldn't justify it. I also did wanna get to know the engine in and out that way if something goes wrong I can easily know how to fix it.

I'll easily fit in, you have to be crazy enough to just pounce into a project like this it seems haha.
