Eng swap

I have a 2001 Vulcan 750 I need to know if it's possible to swap the engine with the 900? Well the 900 bolt into a 750 frame? Thanks in advance

anything is possible with enough $ and work.. but as mentioned, not a bolt in. if ease of swap was distance between 2 different states, I would put it somewhere around distance between florida and alaska.

it would require extensive re-engineering the frame to fit the 900, they are totally different engines.

Now, if you were swapping a vulcan 750 engine for a vulcan 700, thats a drop in swap

I'm thinking of doing a shoddy electric conversion if the motor ever goes out, but fitting a VN900 engine in this frame is gonna be a big chore. My friend has a VN900, nice comfortable bikes with good torque, but I don't think the VN900 engine would be an improvement, honestly. It doesn't rev as high and doesn't make as much HP, even though it does have better low-end torque. VN750 is all about revving to the moon and pinning down corners too tight for other cruisers, IMO. At least, that's what I like mine for. I dunno if the VN900 engine would be as satisfying in those regards.
