2002 vn750 Oil Leak from Weep Hole

Hey all,

I have an oil leak and the oil is coming from the weep hole on the bottom of the crankcase near the lowest coolant drain plug (on the right side of the bike, on the bottom). I have heard since it is not coolant, but oil, coming from this opening, that I need to remove the engine and replace and inner seal. Is this the case? Are there any other fixes that I can do (e.g. plug the weep hole) that would be advantageous. I have been working heavily on various problems that have come up, but taking off the engine is higher speed than I can probably do at this point.

Also, does anyone know the exact size of the final gear bolt? Is it 12mmx1.5 or 12mmx1.25 (or something else). It is stripped and I want to make sure I get the right oversized-bolt to retap it.

Thanks in advance!
