Camshafts identifikation

Hi
How can I identify the front and real camshafts when there are no marks on them. Two different manuals says, that there are grooves in the end of the rear camshafts. But on my camshafts there are no grooves. Actually I have camshafts from two engine whitout grooves on any of them. See pictures of my camshafts and from manual.

I didn't even notice that when I looked at it. I guess I though more of a notch than a round groove

They all have a round groove / hole but, that is not the groove I'm lookink fore. It's a groove very close to the center ( see the foto from the manual)

Groove is clearly visible. I've circled them. That is exactly what the manual is pointing out.

Yep, upper right one and lower left plainly visible groove.

Not sure why you can't see that.

Dear friends
I now see the grooves clearly on the camshafts in real cause the circles om the fotos from thtanner. I feel very stupid but believe me, they were "invisible" because my focus was on the center part of the camshafts :-).
Thanks a lot.
