Stuck exhaust pipe - removing from muffler

I am having difficulty removing right exhaust pipe from muffler. Tips to remove without damaging?

Also did i damage the rear ports shiny/scraped up side? Or Does that get replaced?

I may consider the scoot degoat kit since engine is being removed now but was hoping to bot be forced into it (havent truly ridden stock sound)

Doing my best to follow manual but progress is slow haha

Well, the newbie got it out but is the damaged soft part supposed to look like that?

Is it a soft metallic gasket of sorts? If so how is it replaced or will it need to be?

Yeah, they are soft.
Expensive to replace.
If that exhaust connection is not air tight, you have deceleration pop-pop's. Some riders seal with some goop of sorts. - -

Other's simply drop entire exhaust (in one piece) to the ground, then with help, lift the bike & drag entire assy out.

If the muffler will still seal on the gasket, use it. It's supposed to be soft, but haven't seen any grooves like that, probably from twisting the muffler.

They are available, but I think they are priced pretty high for what they are.

edit: If possible without tearing up the gasket, try to see if it will slide back toward the end of the pipe. If not, just leave there and try it.

Ugh. Manual wasn't terribly specific on seperation I totally did twist and there is shavings besides the deep gouges so I doubt it will be airtight again.

What kind of "goop" do people use?

Even if I switch to the degoat kit I'll still have the airtight issue

If I can split a case and make it work - you can too!
