Recommend an Exhaust?

Hello all, I do not personally own a Kawasaki Vulcan 750 But My little brother just bought one as his first bike. 86 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 to be exact. During a conversation he mentioned that he would like the bike to be louder (he still has stock pipes on it) seeing as Christmas is coming up I figured i can help with this issue. I was looking around Ebay, Google and used Search function on here and looked at different Exhausts and didn't really turn up any results other than the Cobra (Slip on i believe it is?) and the Vance & Hines Cruzers Exhaust. Reviews seem fine but i Figured i would come to where the real Experts are IMHO and ask you guys what Exhausts you have tried, what ones you have seen, whats the popular options to go with. . .ect Also is there anything else i should buy with the new exhaust? does it need a jet kit? What Year parts are compatible with his bike and Is there any common mods you guys recommend to do to the bike to make it run better or anything like that? again the bike is a 1986 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 im a little new to this whole thing sorry. Thank you for your time and help in advance.

I tried a few different things before I settled on the V&H Cruzers. I tried Sportster mufflers with the goat belly in place and without it and stock mufflers without the goat belly. Really what sold me on the cruzers were that they were louder with a much nicer tone than the other things I tried and they looked a heck of a lot better.

As far as other things to buy, you should get crush gaskets to ensure there are no exhaust leaks. You shouldn't have to re-jet if you are just changing the exhaust, but opinions and experiences vary on that one.

If you just remove the goats belly, the bike will be louder.

You can also drill the baffles, and make the bike even louder.

That way you can spend the money on a good helmet for him instead.

Saw a new set of Jardine pipes on ebay last week, could've been new old stock. Looked like you got two mufflers and one chrome pipe for the left side (stock pipe is already chrome on the right side).

The 'Jardines' on eBay looked to be the MAC exhaust, and not as niterider pictured. At least the ones I saw last week.

You may be right, don't think they had the crossover pipe, just two mufflers and one left side pipe. Edit: on second look, maybe that is a crossover pipe:

How do you like it? would you change it if you could? Is it a nice sound when idling and going at speed? I cant seem to find many videos on it to hear it.

Thanks All for the Help so far!
