micro temp clock

Hi all, I have recently installed a micro temp clock on the bike. Problem is, Before I installed it the temp gauge was showing a good reading, not running hot etc. Since I have installed the micro temp clock it goes into the red. Is there anyway to remedy this, something I can do to calibrate the clock etc to bring it back into normal range.

Thank you

My guess, the stock temp sender does not match the new gauge.

Did the gauge come with any specs to show what ohms it needs on the sending unit? I do see it comes with no wiring diagram.

Just re-read the OP. Are you saying that the stock gauge now goes into the red after you've added the auxiliary gauge?
