Exhaust leak maybe

Can an exhaust leak cause the rpm to rise?

Not that I've ever seen on any engine.

Have noticed I need to change the idle adjustment if there's a large change in air temperature. I raise it in cooler weather, lower it in hot, but keep it around 1050-1100 rpm. Right now, temps are swinging 40 from morning to afternoon, so by 2pm, my bike will be idling too fast.

Wow that is a great idea. Never thought about that one. The bike ran fine for the longest and it still does but my rpm's jumped up one day to around 4k and I had to tone it down on the idle. Then the next day it wouldn't stay running because it was adjusted too low. Now it is running around 1.9k and running pretty good. But I have what sounds like a click. I have adjusted the cam adjusters and the click is still there.

I also have a tingling sound that I can't find. The other day I remembered I tried to take the pipes off once and I am thinking the plate that locks down the pipe to the head under the chrome plated one might be loose. I will be finding that out this weekend.

Grace and Peace to you!
