Series of issues I'm having

Hey guys. Kevin here. Long time listener, first time caller.

I've been reading the forums trying to solve the issues I'm having on my 86 Vulcan 750 and I didn't see my answer so I apologize if its' been covered and I did't see it.

I'm trying to find out what the correct temperature is for the Vulcan.
I usually only see the temp range though since the bike has an analog meter, how far is it supposed to go up?
After about 30 minute or so of city riding, the gauge goes up about half way. Just making sure this is normal.

I've had a bit of issues with the bike and put about 2k into it getting it ready for the season.
I'm still having some other issues so I'll post those questions in the correct forums. Just trying to do a "process of elimination"

Cheers!

Kevin

Does it go above half way? Really anywhere below the H line is acceptable.

It usually stays at the half way point (where the picture of the thermometer is) or below it.

Just trying to run through any problems before I start taking long rides.

Mine runs a little lower than that since I put a dab of silicone on the top of the mixture screws.

I generally stay a bit below the 1/2 mark 95% of the time.
