Open temp gauge RPM housing

ok so when I get to this point, how do I get inside? I see where everything disconnects.

The speedo is a factory sealed unit....I've read at least one person carefully prying at the retaining ring to gain access inside.....
The tach, unsure, but would expect to be factory sealed also.

Your description starts with "after you get inside your speedo" I neeed the part about getting inside the housing.

ok just need to test everything thoroughly until I get to the point where I need to get to the actual gauge I guess. Didn't want to drimmel if not necessary. Hell if I could find a decent aftermarket gauge I'd get one. Most suck or are too expensive.
