Removing the front pipe rear gasket

What's the easiest way to get the gasket out of the premuff?

Its next to impossible without damaging it....Ive tried, KC has tried....

Its a lead soaked piece of molded steel wool....you can "try" heating it from the outside, then slowly running a thin blade clockwise. But I dont think it'll work. Ive always just trashed them and replaced.

your only shot at getting it out in one piece is IF you applied anti seize before installing it AND it has not been baked in place for very long.

They are truly throw away seals....and not cheap either.
