manual says 4 Liters with oil Filter which is 4.22675 Quarts with oil filter, it would be just a little over 3 quarts of oil drained out,

Ah, but if it is really only a little over three quarts it would be closer to 3/4 of a gallon, Dude.

yea, I know 4 qts is a gallon.. I just didnt feel like typing 4 qts.

however, if I were to try to put a quart of oil in my filter.. I would have 1/2 a quart on the ground... our small filter (even the larger filter thats used by some) wont hold a quart.

The VN750 does not hold 4 liters of oil, or it would be overfilled-- despite the 4.0 L casting mark on the engine. It's more like 3.5 quarts, but you need to use the sight glass.

Kelly is correct....I usually put in 3 qts....run it some, let it sit, then add to where I like it....to the top of the sightglass (which I dont do) is about 3.60 qts.
