exhaust stud?

all the parts sources list the studs as 8mmx25 or 30mm but do not list the thread pitch. im planning on swapping manifolds that i had powder coated. mine are currently stripped, bent and i know those suckers will break as soon as i put a wrench on them

Garage
Are you looking for the studs to mount the manifold to the bike or the exhaust to the manifold?

both, i have a pair of manifolds that are being powdercoated and i want to replace studs and gaskets at the same time. i may use allenhead bolts if i can nail down the correct thread pitch. i had taken the cruisers off to put the crashbar on and things got ugly when the exhaust went back on. never touched it since then and its not leaking but im planning a multi state trip this summer and dont need potential problems

this 85 i bought has been good to me so i want to return the favor. i just sent a spare stater ti tpe for rebuilding.

I think theyre coarse thread...I swapped my old exhaust nuts with Eng chrome acorns, lol (non metric) If they were fine, wouldnt have worked...12mm wrench or 1/2" I believe....

Yeah, they are the 1.25 pitch thread. I just ordered a bunch of new Acorn nuts from Grainger to put all mine back together.

......I'd rather wake up in the middle of nowhere then in any city on earth.
