Aftermarket exhaust

Where's a good place to check out new exhaust for VN700's? I haven't been able to find, but I haven't looked that hard either...

Re: Aftermarket exhaust

Cruzers or Cobras for the VN750 fir the VN700. Cruzers seem to be the favored if you are looking for a deep rumble sound. Cobras are loud, but be sure and get the heat shields for the and treat them for bluing.. they blue up about the faster. Cruzers have a double layer so you don'r need heat shields.

Re: Aftermarket exhaust

Are 750 pipes a direct fit onto 700's?

Re: Aftermarket exhaust

Sure are *S*
Most parts fit both bikes.
One note on After-market exhaust systems...Cobras use the existing right header pipe. If your right header is heavily blued or in rough shpe you should consider this when replacing your exhaust.. Double check to see if it is a full or partial replacement.
Also.. anytime you take your header pipe off, get new crush gaskets for it.
The Harley crush gasket that fits our bike is HD #17048-98

I did alot of serching for my 86- 750,and finally found a nice set. they are staggered,no rejetting, centerstand retention, all steel baffles. They are a bit loud though, but i was pleased with the 5% performance gain.they are available from: www.macperformance.com .1-800-367-4486 sug. list [Canadian]was$369.00 two years ago. they are easy to install and eliminate extra weight .The collector box is not used. Also, there is alot of clearance for saddlebags.
