Does anyone know if a MAC 2 into 2 for a 85-96 will fit a 2005 withount any problems? Thanks.

The one I had I sold to Jon Landau - and we both had it on earlier models (mine's a 92, Jon's is a '93). But there was nothing about the pipes that would indicate they wouldn't fit on a 2005 - pretty straightforward installation once you remove the premuffler.

I wasn't fond of the sound they gave the bike - too "brappy" for me. But Jon seemed to like 'em a lot, so you might want to get his take, too.

I have the MAC exhaust on my 86, & I really like it. I don't think there are any differences between the model years that would keep them from fitting.

The black ones on ebay?

I was thinking about bidding on those too, but I just can't bring myself to put black pipes on my bike. I prefer the chrome look, but black would definitely be a different look. I think I'm gonna hold out for the Jardines (as soon as I can convince the boss that I really need them).

As far as I know these will fit all years, my guess is that these were bought in the '96 time frame and never installed (thus the reason for the 85-96). I looked on MAC's website and they don't make the black 2 into 2 for the Vulcans any more.

I smile 'cause I don't know what the h*ll is going on.

If only I didn't live in a neighborhood with thin walls... I'd love to have blacked out pipes - but don't wanna piss of the neighbors when I have my early classes or am out late on the bike.

Then again... the only neighbor I'd care if I pissed off is half deaf anyways...

I'm sure it will look very different.

I can say for certain that the stock exhaust from a 2004 will fit a 85 - so I can't see any reason that the MAC exhaust won't fit.

Did ya bid on & win em? If ya did definitely post pics when you have m installed.

I looked at those too but the MAC website only lists the black enamel exhaust, no "black chrome". There's a major difference between black chrome and black enamel!
The black chrome would look great, I'm not too sure about black enamel.
