Engine cleaner?

Does anyone have any suggestions or warnings for a spray on hose off engine cleaner/degreaser.

I use a 1:1 solution of Simple Green if really bad, or 4:1 for general cleaning. Does not hurt rubber or plastics and is 100% biodegradable.

Get engine hot, spray on, let sit, then hose off.

I use Shout the laundry cleaner. It hasn't let me down yet. It's also a very good hand cleaner.

After cleaning, just be sure to re-lube those things that should be lubed that may come in contact with whatever cleaner you use (moving carb parts, cables .... stuff like that)

i just use the car wash stuff, and if i have a really bad spot, i will use dish wash soap dilluted down. i also use a brush with long plastic/nylon bristles to get in all the cracks
