rattling noise

gobike t my 1985 last fall and been riding it for 1000kms so far , from the start I changed the acct for mcct and I have a rattling intermittent noise either on deccelaration or when I hit a bump on the road it rattles underneath the gas tank. bike is running great, no idle or fuel issue, torque and compression are fine and there is no residue in my oil screen ( 3 oil changes ). It is an old bike, engine was worked on 3 years ago but I have no record of it except looking at new gasket on front lower cylinder. I am riding it with some concern but so far it has been reliable and it starts and runs like new.
any ideas ?

Garage
I doubt that it's an engine or running issue. I'd bet something is loose. I'd pop off the seat and have a look at the battery compartment, all the boxes that attach to it, etc. Something has to be loose.

Is your fuel gauge working? If not it could be the float is messed up and banging around the tank?

check the heat shields too... it may sound like the rattle comes from under tank, but it may actually be coming from other locations
