oil for winterization

I just read in the verses about changing the oil for the winter. I was wondering if you guys use a different type (cheaper) oil for the winter since you change it again before you ride in the spring. Any suggestions on the some cheap oil that would do the job?

If you change it with quality oil right before you put it up for the winter I don't see any reason to have to drain it and put in cheap stuff for sitting in the off season. I change mine mine then run it around the block a few times to get the new oil everywhere(already have seafoam in the gas) get her home and on the centerstand turn the petcock to off and let her run till she is out of fuel. Then drain the carb bowls, remove a plug from each jug and fog.

yep... that will work. I wouldnt put more then 50 miles on the oil. reason is that carbon and so on get into the oil and can cause gunking and so on.
