ACCT again

Okay, so I've read through the verses, and looked at all the other ACCT threads on the site. Maybe I'm missing something, but HOW do you remove the front ACCT w/o removing the external oil line, and half the bike to get at that? Is this something that's been changed in the newer models? For the record I own a '94 model.

you gotta bend that tab off the bolt. BUT BE CAREFUL. what i did was us right angle needle nose plyers to brace the base of the tab and regular needle nose to lift and bend the tab straight. then when i changed the ACCT
i made a right angle tab to attach the now straight tab so if i gotta mess with again i won't have to rebend it and weaken it any further. just a note so ppl just leave it straight and don't reattach it, but i'm anal.

good luck with it john

Oh, okay, that makes a lot of sense. Probably not the best for the long run, but it certainly beats draining the oil, & gas, and disassembling half the bike!
