coolant spraying

Hey all
I'm new to the forum. I have a coolant leak from the front of the front cylinder. there is a hole about half way down the cylinder. looks like there should be a hose on it. No clue where to connect it. it sprays out when turnin the bike over.

any help would be greatly appreciated

A little clarification. The leak is coming from a nipple right next to the exhaust. Any ideas where its supposed to go? What its for? I wanna get riding as soon as possible

there is a coolant bleed screw on the cylinder...but not exactly sure if that is what you are looking at.

look through this thread to see if this helps:

I think that's the crankcase breather outlet. If so, it shouldn't be spraying coolant.

That is the breather outlet and it's spraying oil not, coolant. Simply attach a hose to it and a breather filter on the other end and aim it upward. Then cap or plug the hole in the original airbox if still equipt or simply run the hose to it like original.

If your getting coolant/water mixed into your oil, I think that's a pretty good sign that you've got a gasket leak somewhere. (aka head gasket)

If you capture whats coming out into a clear glass jar (or similar) and let it sit for a little while, the two liquids should seperate and you should be able to tell what was being mixed in with the oil (if anything)

......I'd rather wake up in the middle of nowhere then in any city on earth.
