goofy idle

It seems to have a little popping at idle coming from the rear cylinder any ideas of what it could be?

check the rear carb inlet boot for cracks or vacuum leaks, also make sure you are getting spark on both rear plugs.

Make sure the vacuum line (or plug) is present and not leaking.

Mine was popping when I started it when it was cold. I thought it was a vacuum leak. Come to find out the rear carb was running lean, and it was backfiring into the carb as it was starting.
I cleaned then, and adjusted the mixture screws and it went away.
Like they said, check the exhaust gasket at the pipe, and check for vacuum leaks.
