How to replace fan switch?

My 750 has been overheating. I believe it is the fan switch. The fan has not been kicking on. I direct wired fan to frame and fan worked. Can someone tell me how to replace switch? If you think there might be another issue please let me know your thoughts. I'm very new at this. Thanks in advance.

I don't know about the switch, but I did a search in the forum and found that the relay is in the junction box. In the shop manual, it says to disconnect the wire from the fan switch (radiator, lower left side), and ground it to a bolt on the frame. If the fan kicks in, then it's the switch, otherwise it's the junction box. Just looking at it, you'll need to drain the coolant to take the switch out. Let us know what you find out.

You don't really NEED to drain the coolant to replace the switch, just be fast with the replacement then check the coolant level after each ride for the next week or so.

However, you should drain & change the coolant if you haven't done it in a while (or don't know when it was last done).
