Lightbulb impeller shaft removal

i have a 97 vn750 and have had coolant leak issues. i have had to replace the mechanical seal twice and now found my impellar shaft is worn baddly and o-rings are shot. i bought new shaft, rings, circle clip, impellar, lock nut but i am having a hard time locating the removal in my servicemanual on where the circle clip is to get shaft out.. if anyone has had any dealing's with removing this please help!!

Hmmmm. wonder what happened to my reply. If it shows up this is a repeat. I think it requires a case split to replace the shaft.
