The Goats Belly

Goats belly the "pre muffler chamber". It is a crossover chamber to even out exhaust pulses.
Can someone please tell me what would be the effects if this crossover chamber was taken out and just run each exhaust by its self??

Alot of people have done just that. Some people say you will loose a little low end power but I did not feel it.
There was a kit to do that from Scootworks.com.
Here is a link.

I drilled out my muflers also, photos in my page, links below in sig line.

How about the sound of the bike, did it have a radical different sound to the pipes after the kit was installed and BEFORE you drilled out the pipes. Dont want anything to loud.

Removing the GB will make the bike louder. Too loud for my tastes... But some like it.

You will lose a small fraction of power in the lower rpm range...you may or may not notice it depending on how you ride.

There are two ways to remove the chamber... One is to replace the missing pipe pieces with the right size tube on each muffler, and the other is to reinstall some kind cross over tube so the two exhaust pipes are still tied together...( this would be my choice )

And you can also just replace the entire exhaust system with an aftermarket one.

Interested in knowing more about drilling out the baffles, i see 4, 6, 8, holes drilled out. Im just looking for a little deeper sound, what would just 2 or 3 holes sound like.... ponders..... im not de-goated YET.

I didn't notice any power loss, and it sounds good to me. I didn't drill the baffles.
