straight pipe question...

if i run just straight pipes, is it going to wear my internals on my bike down over a short period of time?

It shouldn't have any affect on the internals. You will need to however keep an eye on the plugs to make sure your not running too lean.
It would be a good idea to re-jet slightly richer so as not to run too lean.
If it runs too lean, you can burn a piston and or valve.
The plugs should have a slight gray/tan color if you are close.
A white/gray plug is too lean.
If you are running the stock air filters and plenum, you might get away w/o having to re-jet.
Someone with more carb experience will chime in if I'm steering you wrong.
You might expect to lose some bottom end if IIRC.
