Bogging down question

Between approx 4k to 6k rpm my 04 vn 750 really bogs down and looses power. Lower end is great as was as top end but the mid range is just strange. It's quite annoying as I just got back from a ride through the canyon and rather than throttling up and taking off I was throttling up and half assed taking off!

Anyone else have similar issues or know what might fix this?

When Chuck Norris heard news of the VN 750, he decided to become one!

take a look between the carbs (its tight) there are two vent tubes that come up to a "T" then routes to the right ear, make sure it is all intact, where it goes in to the right ear a lot of us has cut the tip to a 45 degree angle to keep it from bottoming out.
also check vacuum lines for dry rot. I recently replaced a couple on my 86 for two bucks that made a world of difference!!!

I had the same issue when I first got my bike, it hesitated quite a bit but picked up a lot when I got to higher rpm's, Carbs were dirty.
