kawasaki engine guard

Has anyone noticed after installing kawasakis engine guard that the shift lever lightly hits on the up shift ? Should i just slightly move the lever down a spline or two?

I bent mine out, then twisted the small end back up. You would think they would have made a Kawasaki part fit better. I tried to move mine on the spline first, but it moved down too much for my liking.

Yes you would think kawasaki would have made the part fit better. When you say the small end do you mean the actual toe piece with the rubber grip?Thank you for the reply.

Have read on this forum that the Wingerline Engine Guard doesn't have
this problem and it is 1.25" where the KAW is 1" pipe diameter.
Wingerline...$135 Kaw...$75

Have lots of add ons, sissy bar, back rack, Engine Guard, Highway foot
pegs, saddle bags, but am waiting to install after I take my Skills test
to keep the weight down.

I have a wingerline that I'm getting rid of. Used, but seems in good condition. Asking $100.
