Quote from above auction.
For Sale.. A Final Drive Assembly for a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan VN750.
It has some moderate wear on the spline that inserts into the drive shaft coulpling from when the coupling stripped out.
Otherwise it and all of it's parts are in perfect working order. The bike only had 10,000 miles on it when this was removed.
Judging from the description, this item would not be my first choice for a replacement final drive.
The splines on the final drive and the coupling sleeve usually wear out more or less together.
The splines in the picture are too dirty to really see how worn they are.
You can also only see the back half of the spline shaft.

At the very least request some better pictures of the "moderate wear on the splines" with the dirt cleaned off, and compare with spline pics in fergy`s spline lube thread.

Keep looking.

There are 2 driveshafts with the coupling in this search:

I can look to see if the coupling I have is worth using or not. But it would be late tonight before I can look at it. Try to take some good pics and post them tomorrow. If it looks like it would work, it's free. Shouldn't be that much to ship so I won't worry about it.
