Air Cleaner hoses

One of my air cleaner hoses has a split in it right where it connects to the air switch valve. So two questions is there anyway to repair it? If not do I need a new one or is it a big deal if there is a split in the hose?

it is a big deal....I have, however, witha bit of TLC used some super glue and electrical tape and fixed the crack untill I could get the new hose.

I did use some electrical tape, but no super glue. Now would I need to have OEM replacement or could I just use rubber tubing from Home Depot?

I would take it off and go to an Auto parts place.. better grade of hose.
