Stripped drain plug

I went to change the oil in my bike today, rode her to warm her up, set it up on the centerstand to loosen the drain plug, and the P/O had stripped the head on the drain.
My first thought was to find him, and slap the s**t outta him!
Second thought was to get a hammer, and a punch, and loosen it up.
Any better ideas to get it off? I'm so frustrated right now, I could kick a cat.
Looks like I will be calling the dealership to get a new plug.

If you don't have a Motorcycle shop in town to get a replacement, when you get it out, take it to an auto oil change place. Some of them have a lot of drain plugs in stock. I found one at a Jiffy Lube for an old Yamaha I had. It was the same thread as some metric car. Wasn't exactly the same looking, but it worked.

The PO of mine was a hammer mechanic too. He stripped mine with vice grips. Go to BikeBandit. com. They have them there cheaper than the dealer. Is it the one with the screen in it?
