Exhaust fitment 2006

I traded my 1996 VN750 for a new 2006 VN750.

I would like to install after-market exhaust system but the dealer nor the exhaust manufacturers have tested fitment for 2006 model.

Does anyone know if 2006 exhaust system is exactly the same as 2004-2005?

The Vance & Hines are my fist choice for looks but are too loud for my taste. The Cobras sound even louder. I'm looking at the Jardine 2 into 2 slip ons as they claim to be not as loud as other brands but maintain a "rumbler" sound.

Nothing has changed on the bike except color since 1991 that I am aware of. Exhaust pipes are still 18049-1373 and 18049-1374 for the 2006.
Ron Ayers doesn't have the 2006 Parts Diagrams yet but the Kawasaki site does. Easiest way to verify that the parts are the same is to check parts numbers between multiple years.

Thanks Dianna. I'll post my impressions of the Jardines when I get them in and installed. I liked the fit, finish, and sound of the V&H pipes on my older VN750. They were a little deeper sounding and less "sharp" than a set of Cobras that I've heard. They are both loud. I'm hoping that the Jardines will sound deeper and no louder (hopefully quieter) than my de-goated stock system with drilled end caps.

Cobras are probably the loudest aftermarket. There use to be a problem with the Cobras discoloring a whole lot faster than any other exhaust system, even with playing with the air mix. Plus the fact that there were only the generic heat shields or try fitting the oem heat shields over them. I agree, the V&H's do have a deeper growl, though I have known a few that switched from them because the noise got to them after extended riding.
I have a set of Jardines for the project bike. I like the looks and hopefully one day can comment on the sound!

I have the Jardines on both my 95 and 03. I think you'll love them on your project bike.

Here is an update to the Jardine exhaust fitment question. The Jardine system fit perfectly and was a very simple install on the 2006 even though they were old stock from 1990. They sound exactly like the Mac Performance full system. They have rough finish on the ends and the welds are a little sloppy. The Mac's and Vance & Hines have better finish. The Jardines are not as loud or deep sounding as the Vance & Hines or loud as the Cobras as those use a strait thru design with wrap around padded baffles like a glass pack. The Mac and Jardine have traditional and somewhat restrictive baffles. The sound is crisp and raspy and isn't louder than de-goated stock while cruising. They are pretty loud at start up and under hard acceleration. I have not tested the bike enough with the new system (due to snow) to get a feel for the overall power other than the mid range torque feels at least as strong as stock. Overall, I like the system. If I were going to pay new prices, I would go for the Mac system at macperformance.com for $209. A bracket to keep the center stand off the tire needs to be fabricated for retaining the center stand.

The bracket or stop for the centerstand is an easy fabrication. We used a thick rubber doughnut type washer as a stop. You can wire tie it in place.

The closest point that I can see to use a rubber stop would be the drive shaft housing (about 3 inches) since there is no left side exhuast system. Am I missing something? I used a metal strap attached to the inside of the stock left side exhaust mounting bracket extending down about 5 inches for the center stand kick arm to rest on. I used a piece of radiator hose as padding on the arm.
