I'm not convinced that is a rod knock so far.

It sounds like a louder version of what I hear with the stethoscope on mine, which has no problems. Same frequency and rhythm as best I can tell.

Ok sounds good im not going to be messing with it now until i get the carb hangers in and get the vac leak under control i cant keep a consistent idle yet to to really dig in any further

I should have said ... Touch the ACCTs and compare the vibrations there to vibrations at other points on the engine, like the valve covers and lower side cases on each side. I would think you could feel something that loud.

Honestly listening with screwdriver and feeling around its still really tough to tell oil was pretty clean found one tiny magnetic shard and there are little flakes of aluminum so that has me worried if it is cam chain sprockets may be a bit chewed upand then it could be rod bearings

Aluminum could be the chain guides or maybe the damper gear eating the side case.

Thats what im figuring as well bit ove got not bad vibration just noise wont rule anything out just yet still waiting on hangers for the carbs
