Crankcase Oil Leak

Gentlemen, I have a problem and question for you all. I got the bike running, it starts well and fast but. There is always a but.

As you can see from the oil spot between the spline blood stains, I have an oil leak, specifically from here.

This is not a minor leak, when the engine is running the oil flows out rather quickly.
So my question is should I split the case to fix this or just JB weld over the whole seem?

the PO had it rebuilt and the builder was a pretty good about not cleaning things and over tightening bolts.

Any chance it's leaking from the hole in the pic below? That would mean the deep spark plug well on the front cylinder needs a new o-ring. You can't see the hole with the radiator in place, but you can reach in the left side and touch it. The hose is the crankcase breather.

If not, best bet is a case split. Would need to be clean clean clean, and roughed up for JB to stick. If it still leaks internally from a pressurized passage, that can be a problem.

Thanks, but no unfortunately I watched it well up from the seem there. it might be from behind the oil filter adapter plate but it seems to be from the case joint.
