seat mods

hey all tom here im new to the site just wanted to see picks from people that have done a vn900 seat swap on a vn750 every time i have a rider with me i get pushed forward and it sux so i wanted to know if the seat swap would give me more room for a passenger thanks for any input

The thing about the 900 seat mod...the seat itself might push you forward a little...they way ZI was going to mount it it would have. On my bike I modified the stock seat to make it lay flat where the passenger backrest comes up. Then I added a backrest from a honda 1100. That allowed for more room for the passenger and me, but it was still cramped and the passenger portion was not very comfortable. My Stryker is sooooo much better.

Just got mine off ebay. Hope to have it on today will let you know. however when just sitting it on the bike it looks huge. not sure if I like it. Post some pics 4 ya later today

Thanks for the pics everyone i was able to score a seat from ebay really cheap im planing on doing this mod without cutting or drilling into the bike im going to try to fab some mounts that bolt to the stock bar supports so that i will still have easy access to the battery . btw all the pics look great i will post some when im done

not a good link.....i bought wrong seat. wanted the one with smaller pass area that does not go so far over taillight housing. gonna stick w/stock 4 now. sucks seat is new cond.

this thread has my new paint and my new seat in it. on page 2 are the pics of the seat. compare it to what yours is.

Mine was off a 2011 vulcan 900 custom. took a bit of minor modifications to make it work, but not too much to be afraid of.

2005 VN750

Michigan....yours is one of the ones I had saved a pic of when making the decision to buy mine. However now that i got it. It looks a little long and fat across the fender.on mine anyway. Just sittin it up there. maybe cuz mines all black. Have not had the chance to snap a pic yet.
