Driver Footpeg Adapter

Can anyone tell which Kuryakyn footpeg adapter is the correct one for the drivers footpegs?

Hey Krwheele, do not quote me on this since I can't yet 100% confirm the correct fit...

Most motorcycle manufacturers reach into the existing parts bin whenever they make a new bike to keep costs down. What's the sense of reinventing the wheel (or foot peg) each time a new bike comes out. A good place to start looking is the Kawasaki website itself as they have a huge collection of parts diagrams online.

I've been looking at changing my driver footpegs (different sizes from the passenger pegs) and using Kuryakyn footpeg adapters and their parts # 8813 (with splines) or # 8831 (without splines) are listed for use on the:

Vulcan 1500 a/b '87-'99
Vulcan 1500 & Mean Streak 1600 '96-'08
Vulcan 800 Classic '96-'05
Vulcan 800 Custom '95-'05
Vulcan 900 Custom '07-'08

A little research on the Kawasaki website lists the pin that secures the driver's footpeg to the bike, the footpeg spring and the circlip that holds it all together as pretty much being the same part on all these bikes and the VN750.

The footpegs themselves are a bit different though. From personal experience I can tell you that the footpegs on the 1996-'97 Kawaski 600 Eliminator seem to be interchangable between that and the VN750, with the only difference in the pegs being that the ones on the VN750 have that extra aluminum wing looking thing hanging off the back of the peg.

I haven't worked up the nerve to order the Kuryakyn adapters yet "just to see how they fit". If you happen determine which is the right size adapter for the bike and actually test it out, please be sure to update this post!

Thanks -Sloppy

.... I wonder if someone would know if the VN 750 can use the same adapter as Vulcan 1500 a/b '87-'99
Vulcan 1500 & Mean Streak 1600 '96-'08
Vulcan 800 Classic '96-'05
Vulcan 800 Custom '95-'05
Vulcan 900 Custom '07-'08

These are the only models most adapters work with.

Garage
you need a kuryakyn adapter part number 8831. the vn800 passenger pegs will interchange with the vn750 front pegs. 9that is what I am running on my bike right now.
