DIY Hand wind deflectors

My fingers were freezing off this week, just the tips so I decided to look for some deflectors for the winter. Found this and thought i'd pass it on. Going to make some this weekend if I get finished painting.

Serious. My fingertips take a beating. I also wear those black nitrile gloves under my winter gloves when I'm riding. I don't have a pair of actual riding gloves per say.

Yes, don't forget to post photos of your work.

I put "knuckle guards" off a Suzuki V-Strom on my FJR. Kept my hands definitely warmer.

I may try and do sonething similar for my Bonneville.

I thought about brushguards for a quad or dirtbike for mine, painted to match the color of course! but this would work too!

Nice to see this revived. I made a set several years ago & sold them to ruger when I went to a fairing. They work wonders!

Well that's what I'd use if I was building a pair. I'd find the kind that bolt to the end of the handlebar also. These are the strongest and keep your hands from being crushed if you hit something solid...like a tree or the ground. They are just metal bars that look like this:

I'd the make wind deflectors that bolt to that. A freind did this for his bike, using a cut up bleach bottle to make the deflectors. He painted them black and they looked pretty good.
