Where is it?
Man I do not know what happened! I changed my spark plugs today and wanted to take it for a ride and all of a sudden I look at my bike and was like:
WHERE IS MY TOOLBOX? At first I thought somebody stole it, but then I remembered that when I took a long ride on Sunday I did not leave the bike anywhere
What a hell! I guess the wind took it off, when I was riding. How is that possible? Damn, I got my registration, insurance, owners manual and some other parts in there!
I dont know, I guess I will look for another one.
MAN I STILL DONT GET IT!
The box was a little shaky, but to fall down or fly off?!
Oh well I will just have a beer!
Has someone experienced something like this?

I assume ya just lost the lid?
It's pretty common to loose the lid... I put real hinges on mine as outlined a while back here. I'll find the link if no one else does first.

Here is a link to the hinge discussion I think Hyper was talking about:
https://www.vn750.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4902
It also has step by step instructions on the hinge I made for the box on my bike.

The screwa to the seat and there is one more screw holding it there.
That s strange that the box is missing, Hope somebody finds it and turns it in if they know it has your stuff in it.

yeah... if the whole damn thing is missing (you DID have it bolted to your seat right?) then someone stole it. Unless you'd bolted your seat on... THEN added the toolbox... though I don't think it'd fit very well like that....

There is just no way it was stolen because I rode the bike and then put it in the garage.
Man it is quite ugly without it now! With the high passenger backrest on there is a big hole there, you can immediately tell that something was supposed to be there and now isnt.

Sorry to hear that. You can usually pick up a box from Ebay or your local junkyard for pretty cheap. The most expensive part will be the lock if you go with the standard Kaw lock. Or, you could do like some other on here have done and get a lock from Home Depot.
As for the papers....that's going to be some work. Really sorry about that.
Have you tried backtracking the roads you've ridden just to see if it's off on the side somewhere?

If the seat wasn't bolted down then the box probably wasn't. For now I'd definitely put some bolts in for the seat...
Like lancer said you should be able to find a pretty cheap box on fleabay - might even try posting in the sell/swap area here...
